Sam's Baby

"Sam are you sure about this?" Steve looked over at his friend. Sam smiled a bit. "I use to babysit when I was a kid," he smiled a bit, "It'll be fine." Sam took the child from Tony. "I like this little girl," he smiled, "She seems sassy to me." Steve quirked an eyebrow at him and chuckled heartily at his friend. Bucky clapped Sam on the shoulder, "Congratulations on the little troublemaker." Sam tensed at Bucky's touch and muttered, "I really don't like you."

With it being such a nice day out, Sam decided to take (Name) on a little stroll through his neighborhood. The went through a small park that was put in by the locals. (Name) suddenly reached out and squealed with delight. Sam looked over as she reached out to a bird. It was a little red cardinal. Sam smiled down at the child. "I like birds too, kiddo."

Sam carried (Name) into the kitchen and sat her in a highchair. He rummaged through the different cans of baby food. (Name) babbled at Sam from her seat. "Is that so?" he examined a can of mushy pears.

Sam grabbed a spoon and sat in front of (Name). "So, you eat pears right?" he opened the jar. (Name) murmured and babbled at him. Sam smirked at her and showed her the spoon of mashed pears.

"Come on (Name), don't be stubborn," he poked the child's lips with the spoon. No matter what he tried he couldn't get (Name) to eat the pears. He breathed for a moment and pushed aside his dignity. "Fine, here comes the airplane," he said in a sing-song voice. Still (Name) wouldn't budge. "You don't like planes? huh okay." He tried 'Here comes the train' next.

After a few minutes of this struggle, he had an idea. "Here comes the Falcon," he sang. (Name) giggled and finally ate the mushy pears. Sam beamed at the baby and kissed her head. "I guess you really are my kid."
